I am writing with exciting news! I am going to be serving on the Cleveland Walk Committee for the 2013 FARE Walk for Food Allergy. FARE stands for Food Allergy Research and Education and is one of the largest providers and a trusted source of food allergy education, awareness and advocacy. Each year, walks are held across the country to raise awareness and funds to support food allergy research in an effort to find a cure (and treatments) for life threatening food allergies. This will be the first year that a walk is held in Cleveland, which is where we live. We were originally going to travel to Columbus for the walk until I got an email from FARE asking for help from FARE members in the Cleveland area. I immediately responded that I wanted to be as involved as possible. After an initial conference call with FARE this week, the planning has begun! The walk will be held at the Cleveland Zoo on August 11, 2013. You can learn more about the walk and how to get involved by visiting the Cleveland walk website.
I have already signed our family team up and if you feel so inclined, we would love your support! Every penny counts! Please consider donating to this wonderful cause and help get the first Cleveland walk up and running! Please visit our team page and show your support!
